If you caught the Thanksgiving Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, you probably noticed the sleek trucks hauling the floats. For this year’s event over 55 GMC Canyons were used to help tow parade floats, making this the 34th year in a row GMC has helped out.
We at Warsaw Buick GMC can understand why participants want to use the new pickup model: the 2015 GMC Canyon performance is impressive, to say the least. We’re talking about an optional 3.6-liter V6 with a towing capacity of up to 7,000 lbs when properly equipped.
“Not everyone needs full-size capability, but they still deserve strength and true-truck attributes that come in larger trucks,” said Duncan Aldred, VP of Sales. “Canyon offers all the capability and confidence with the versatility and maneuverability of a smaller crossover making it the perfect complement for the holiday or any season.”
According to GMC, the Canyon also has a remarkable tuning radius of only 41 feet, another reason it was a great pick for the parade. It also includes a state-of-the-art navigation system and infotainment system, a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, and OnStar, ensuring no drivers got lost during the hectic event.
