Today, most people expect to stay connected while driving and one of the best ways to do this is with a high-tech system like OnStar 4G LTE. Starting with the2015 model year, many Buick models will have this system as standard equipment.
At the DENT Conference in Idaho earlier this month, Buick marketing vice president, Tony DiSalle confirmed that the 2015 Encore, Verano, Regal, and LaCrosse will have the new 4G tech.
“Today’s Buick lineup is full of technologies that help make our owners safer and more secure than they would be without them,” he said. “With the introduction of high-speed OnStar 4G LTE, Buick owners will be better connected as well.”
He also said the entire Buick lineup will have standard OnStar 4G LTE in the 2016 model year.
This technology will allow passengers to connect to wireless high-speed internet right in their Buick. The Wi-Fi hotspot will allow up to seven devices to connect.
Do you like to stay connected while out on the road?
The Buick Encore is officially one year old and what a year it has been! The small crossover has almost single-handedly given the Buick brand a much-needed boost.
General Motors was definitely taking a gamble when it introduced the Encore; however, after just a few months, it was clear there was nothing to worry about.
“Right out of the gate, demand for the Encore was high,” Tony DiSalle, vice president of Buick marketing said in a statement. “It accounted for most of the segment’s growth last year and that’s because it offers the right safety, technology and features in the right-sized vehicle for many customers.”
In its first full year of sales, US buyers took home 31,046 of the luxury crossovers and global sales reached 97,311, which helped Buick set a new global sales record.
Here at Warsaw Buick GMC, we think the Encore is living up to its name as we want it to come back again and again and again.
